Did the winter weather do a number on your concrete? Try Concrete leveling!

Did you read about how cold weather affects concrete?  The winter weather can damage your concrete by slowing down, or possibly stopping, the reaction that causes crystals to form while the concrete is setting.  Keep an eye out as the snow begins to melt. Concrete is an extremely durable surface, but the winter weather can damage it. If you notice sunken, settled concrete, then you may want to consider concrete leveling as a solution.

Concrete leveling (also known as concrete raising) is a process for raising and supporting settled sunken uneven concrete. Concrete leveling can be done on a variety of surfaces including entry walkways, porches, driveways, patios, pool decks, city sidewalks, foundational slabs, basement cement flooring, garage floors, industrial flooring, warehouse flooring, interior cement flooring, roadways, and railroad crossings. Holes are strategically drilled into the concrete slab that requires lifting. Here at Bravo Buffalo, we use the latest in polyurethane foam injection technology: a lightweight material that requires smaller and fewer injection holes than the traditional method of mudjacking. The material is injected under pressure below the area or structure being repaired, where it then expands and hardens. This lightweight material is also powerful, with 6 – 8 pounds of foam accomplishing what 100 – 125 pounds of mudjacking grout fill will, giving significantly less pressure against your home’s foundation. Polyurethane concrete raising is the latest and greatest concrete repair method available. After the injection is completed, the hole that was drilled into your concrete is patched with cement and the surface is ready for use.

This type of leveling allows for the project to be completed quickly with minimal disruption with most jobs done and ready for use in one day. This type repair typically takes 1-2 hours based on the scope of your project and after it is done, your surface is ready for immediate use. Not only is concrete leveling a great solution for fixing your uneven walkway, but it is also cost-effective. Concrete leveling can be done for less than half the cost of pouring new concrete. In fact, concrete leveling can save you up to 80% over the cost of replacing your concrete.  This is because simply raising your concrete means that the causes of demolition, removal, and landscaping are non-existent.  Not only will your savings be great, but having level concrete prevents trips hazards and possible lawsuits.
