Avoid Using Deicers On Your Driveway
As tempting as it may be to use a deicer on your driveway, don’t do it. Deicers can severely damage your driveway. Many deicers contain the chemicals salt or calcium chloride which will deteriorate and damage your driveway. Using deicers on unsealed concrete can lead to pitting and scaling. An alternative you can use to deicers is sand to help provide some traction on your driveway.
