How cold weather affects concrete
The best time to pour concrete is during the fall or spring season when there is cooler weather; however, you shouldn’t pour concrete in really cold temperatures. The recommended temperature for pouring concrete is 50-60 degrees. It is recommended that concrete is poured within that temperature range because anything colder will damage the concrete. One of the things that can happen if concrete is poured in colder weather is the concrete can freeze. If the concrete freezes, the strength of the concrete can decrease up to 50%.
