Tips for Maintaining your Gravel Driveway
If you have a gravel driveway, these tips will be perfect for you. Gravel driveways can collect dirt and debris overtime and should be cleaned every once in a while. Here is a list of things you can do:
- Rake your driveway: Raking the gravel helps to clear out the dirt and debris. Raking will also help to cover up any missing spots of gravel in your driveway and provide more traction for your car.
- Leave one inch of snow: In Buffalo we receive a lot of snow and we have to shovel the snow to get out of our homes. It’s a good idea to leave at least one inch of snow to protect gravel from being moved all over the place from snow plows and shovels.
Spray your driveway: Gravel can get moved around a lot and is occasionally crushed into dirt. Spraying down your driveway with some water from a hose will help to keep the gravel in place.
